Weltenburger Kloster Helles

Weltenburger Kloster hell is a Helles lager brewed according to the German Purity law from 1516. Welternburger Klosterbrauerei was founded in the year 1050 and is the oldest monastery brewery in the world. The location of the monastery brewery is along the German river Donau, near the beautiful city of Regensburg in the state of Bavaria. Today there are 14 monks who live and brew beer in the monastery. Profits from the brewery go, in addition to the operation of the monastery, to flood protection of the impressive buildings around Donau.

Helles or Hell is a traditional German lager. Weltenburger Kloster Hell is on pair of the classic style. The beer has a golden light color with a fine and dense white foam. Good body, mild sweetness from the malt and low bitterness. Unforgettable good beer that represents the Bavarian lifestyle.
